clipping surface with polyline

hi,

I have a set of points forming a polyline around the surface 
of my polydata. Now I wan´t to clip the polydata by this polyline.
vtkClipPolydata uses implicite functions. how can i form an implicite
function form my polyline. 
The line doesn´t lie on a plane !!
