convert vtkStructuredPoints to vtkImageData (vtkImageCanvasSource2D)

hello vtkusers,

I have a  vtkStructuredPoints (read with vtkVolume16Reader) 512*512*50.
Now I want draw in one of this slices, so I have to set the input for
vtkImageCanvasSource2D with  SetImageData (vtkImageData *). How can I
convert one slice to vtkImageData ?
