Hi Gilson-

vtkSliceCubes process four slices from a volume at a time, writing the
output directly to hard disk.

Many of the filters allow streaming: that is, processing of pieces of data
based on a memory limit. For example, vtkSynchronizedTemplates, 
vtkImageMarchingCubes.
