[vtkusers] Newbie question about DataExtent

Hi VTK Users, I have another Newbie question for you experts...

Why when I read a set of images (am using vtkBMPReader) and I set the
DataExtent it does0nt make any change??
for example my images are 256*256, so I would like to read just a part
of the data, then ...

Myreader  SetDataExtent  50 100 50 80 0 9

and the BMP reader give all the information, not the part I want it to
read....what am doing wrong??..

please help!
