different distances between slices

Hello,

I'm generating a 3d-model from ct-data.
I'm using vtkVolume16Reader to read the images. Then I set the data
spaces with SetDataSpacing( xSpace, ySpace, zSpace ). But now is the
distance throuhg the scans not always the same. Is it possible to have
different zSpaces between the slices?
