[vtkusers] please help with vtk 4.0

I am trying to compile code written using vtk3.2 standards
I have removed  vtk.h and included each of the
.h files that I need manually. Yet, when I compile my
program, it has problem at the linking stage. I get
errors or unknown variables but I have included the
files necessary already...

I do not know what to do next? 

Could someone give a hint in what to lookfor......
