[vtkusers] Reading Data from slides in Tif format

Hello,

I am a new user just begining training in vtk. I have to write code for a Program which reads data from the file. Basically the data is in slides the files are named 

20.tif.1,21.tif.2 .......

I have the vtk users guide and can some one please help me with reading all slides so that i can use other window and rendering functions.
