What a great feature!  And it does thick reformatting on volume renderings
too!

A couple of observations/suggestions:

1) could the tcl volume rendering example use a vtkTextureMapper2D for
faster user interaction?  The ray tracer is far too slow to reveal the
interactive capabilities of the widget
2) if you select wireframe 'w' and then back to solid 's' the widget is
rendered opaque as well and cannot be changed back to its original visual
format.
3) could there be a shortcut key to reset the widget and actor: e.g. 'r' ?
