[vtkusers] how to create cross-section

Hi all,

Please help!  I have an object rendered using volume rendering, and the
data is from a structured points data file.  My goal is to cut through
anywhere and get a contour plot of the cross-section.  I need some
example codes to start with.  Any suggestions?  I've tried many example
codes in vtk.  Some of them either read from a structured grid file (
not what I want ), or read from MOVIE.BYU polygon file or something
else...

Any help will be appreciated.
