[vtkusers] How do you add multiple vtkObjects to a renderer

Hi all,
  Can somebody explain to me how multiple vtkObjects can me merged on a single 
renderer.I know it is possible with multiple vtkActors.Are there some useful 
examples that can do this.My problem is that I have to read two vrml files in 
essentially two different vtkObjects and then merge them on a single 
renderer.The renderer will let me add an actor ,but will not let me add an 
object.
