[vtkusers] Volume Rendering with Colored Data?

Hi Ben,

vtkVolumeTextureMapper2D does not render color data (only one component 
unsigned char or unsigned short data).

You'll see an announcement on this list sometime next week for VolView 2.0 
- it can render color volumes (and multiple independent components of any 
data type from unsigned char to double).
