[vtkusers] Questions reguarding the dimensions

I am wanting to dabble a bit with the VTK for my project but I am having a 
hard time understanding the dimensions parameters.  Usually when I think 
dimensions I think x,y,z which means a total dimensionality of three or 
(1,1,1).  But I see examples of like (50,50,50).  In my data set I have 768 
rows in the x direction, 1600 in the z direction and then a variable y 
direction.  What would my dimensionality look like for that and why?
