[vtkusers] vtkAxesActor bug?

I tried your script and have not had
time to figure out the bug: wireframe/surface 
toggle. Please report this to the php bug 
tracker and add the script as an attachment 
after you report it.
vtkAxesActor is really meant as an input for
vtkOrientationMarkerWidget, and not a replacement for
vtkAxes. So the SymmetricOn feature was not 
implemented but could be added as a feature request:
see php bug tracker for that as well.
