[vtkusers] Compile flags...

I was wondering what some of the flag's settings did? Some are clear, 
i.e. the CXX flags, or the paths-to flags or the path to a library. I 
was wondering if there was any documentation describing what the 
different settings accomplish? Say, 'Hybrid ON'. I do have both texts, 
and I might have overlooked any entry in those texts. But I have been 
looking for a description.
