[vtkusers] Error which I cannot fathom - vtkPolyData

I am trying to Make a vtkPolyData class using the 
InsertNextCell(no/ofpts)
InsertCellPoint() Combination

I want to create a cell of only 1 point ..

Now the thing is when I use this code the Program ends with an error 

in trying to Render .. 

when I use no /of pts as 3 it works

What am i doing wrong here
this code is in VC++
