[vtkusers] changing the "step size" of vtkRenderWindowInteractor ?

Is it possible to make vtkRenderWindowInteractor ( and sub-classes)
react "more slowly" to mouse motions? I mean, sometimes the user 
gets lost about where he looks at the scene from and what is what...
