[vtkusers] Need a filter to do data set segmentation

Hello, I am looking for a filter that will allow me to segment an
arbitrary data set into an arbitrary number of pieces. I was going to
use the vtkDistributedDataFilter, but it will not work for me since I
cannot get the MPI classes to work with the Java wrappers.

I've looked through the the VTK class hierarchy, but I haven't seen
anything yet besides vtkDistributedDataFilter. Any help would be
appreciated.
