[vtkusers] GUI freezes during an animation (JAVA)

Hi all!

I've developed a small application using vtk with Java!
The aplication animate a ship, crossing a surface. this works fine
-> no problems to show the animation with vtkPanel in a JFrame.
Now  I  conceive to controll the animation in the Frame with a start
and stop Button. I put the animation method  in an extra Runnable Thread,
but always  the GUI freezes, I can't push any button and must wait to the
end of the animation. See the Code on:
