[vtkusers] clip dataset by extruded surface

Hi all,
If a surface is defined by an implicit function,it is easy to clip one
dataset by it .
However, I have got a surface which was linearly extruded  from a spline
(using
vtkLinearExtrusionFliter). I want to clip or cut  one dataset by it ,but I
cannot find a
way to transmit the surface(PolyData) to vtkClipDataset or vtkCutter .

Can Anyone help ?
