[vtkusers] error building VTK5 on intel core duo OSX 10.4, with python wrappings

Dear VTK compilation gurus,

I am getting an
error white  building VTK5 on i386 intel core duo (mac book pro) OSX  
10.4, with python wrappings

Using recent VTK5 and  the new python2.4 universal binary install

here is the error

Building object file vtkTkRenderWidgetPython.o...

declaration does not declare anything
make[3]: *** [vtkTkRenderWidgetPython.o] Error 1
make[2]: *** [default_target] Error 2
make[1]: *** [default_target_Rendering] Error 2
make: *** [default_target] Error 2

python and tcl/tk are located correctly in the ccmake gui,
so they are not missing or anything...?

Any one seen this before or have any idea how to fix it?
