[vtkusers] Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP)

hi all,
in my project I've used the vtkImagePlaneWidget to implement the MPR fonctionnality and now I'm looking for an other class or any tool to enable me to implement  the Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP) trough the same volume of the MPR.
Is there any class or methods in VTK witch could help me, I'm really a beginner in the VTK's world.
I have constituted the volume of points in a vtkStructredPoints.
any suggestions ...
