[vtkusers] How to reconstruct 3D model from CT data with vtk

[xmzstudy]

Hi:
I am interested in medical image fields and want to reconstruct 3D medical image from CT data with vtk.Studying vtk,I have several questions:
1.How to read CT data file(file format like *.dicom ,*.raw,*.im0 ect) ?
  Does vtk have any interfaces to read such files?
2.How to get isosurfaces from the CT volume data?
  
  Is there anyone can give me some tips?  Thanks in advance!
