[vtkusers] System Zlib -> metaio doesn't seem to work

I've tried your patch.  Same results on Mac OS X.  Sweet!  And your
patch makes sense to me.

Yeah, that's disabled because of all the spammers attaching the bugbase. :(

Anyone have any objections to me committing Steve's fix to CVS?
