Hi Daniela,
vtkDelaunay3D will create tetrahedra. You want triangles, right?
So use vtkStripper and vtkAppendPolyData like I suggested in my previous 
email. Does that work? Did you succeed to extract the boundary edges 
with vtkFeatureEdges?
The pipeline should be:
  vtkFeatureEdges ->
  vtkStripper ->
  copy lines to polys ->
  vtkTriangleFilter ->
  vtkAppendPolyData
