[vtkusers] Why is the number of points not equal to the product of the resolution of the vtkPlaneSource object?

Hi all,

   My code is as follows:

   vtkPlaneSource *pPlaneSrc = vtkPlaneSource::New();
   pPlaneSrc->SetResolution(nW, nH);
   pPlaneSrc->Update();
   int nXRes = pPlaneSrc->GetXResolution();
   int nYRes = pPlaneSrc->GetYResolution();

   vtkPolyData *pTransPolyData = pPlaneSrc->GetOutput();
   int nPts = pTransPolyData->GetNumberOfPoints();

 
   and I found that nXRes == nW, nYRes == nH, but nPts != nW * nH. I have no idea why?
