[vtkusers] Bringing objects to the front

I have an object with contour lines that can have text on it.  I know to use
vtkVectorText and vtkFollower to render text on an object.  However, I would
like the text objects to always be shown over the contours and outlines.  Is
there any way to bring certain vtk elements to the front of an object?
