[vtkusers] XML appended data in a separate raw binary file

Hi All,

It would have been extremely useful in certain cases, had <DataArray> in VTK
XML data files had another "format" option where the binary data resides in
a separate (raw binary) file.

Maybe someone out there had similar thoughts and already contributed such a
reader. maybe?

Or if not, amidst the wide selection of input formats that VTK supports,
does anyone know one that allows for such a configuration?
