Hi,
Yes, create 2 actors. I usually add the actors to a vtkAssembly and add the assembly to the renderer. This ensures the actors stay together.

  Thanks for the reply - I am still a bit confused about how to use this. I am using an unstructuredmesh to represent the FE mesh. Do I create two actors, one with wireframe properties, and one with filled properties... and let this setting take care of the overlay?
