[vtkusers] vertex arrays

Hi,

I see that vtkPainterDeviceAdapter supports drawing vertex arrays, but I 
can't see any code in VTK that uses it.
Is there a working vtkPainter that does vertex arrays?

And are there thoughts of modifying vtkPolyData to have better support 
for vertex arrays?  It would be nice to have quads and triangles 
separated and not copy them into their own arrays.
