[vtkusers] DICOM confusion (GDCM? ITK?)

Martin, I got it working with your code (quick&dirty transfer to python).
Can I also use this dataset in combination with vtkVolumeTextureMapper3D (for performance reasons)?
If I just swap the mappers, the window remains white. (Just swapping them did work before for the ironProt.vtk example from VTKData.)
