Hi, you wrote
  vtkMath::SolveLeastSquares(NumberOfSamples, X, NumberOfVariables, Y,
NumberOfSamples, M);
instead of
   vtkMath::SolveLeastSquares(NumberOfSamples, X, NumberOfVariables, Y, 1, M);
