[vtkusers] Moving a vtkXYPlotActor in 3D

Hello,

I would like to use the vtkXYPlotActor as a 3D object, i.e. add it to a vtkAssembly and move it around.  It looks like this is not possible as this is a vtkProp and not a vtkProp3D.
-1- Am I correct?
-2- Is there an easy way to plot some data (oscilloscope like) on a virtual plane moving in 3D?
