[vtkusers] vtkAppendFilter . How to erase of the highlight for once selected cell ?

I use a vtkAppendFilter to append the output of the selection filter to the
existing highlighted cells.
 vtkAppendFilter is all right. I can highlight all selected cells.
 But erase of the highlight for once selected cell becomes diffcult.
 How to erase of the highlight for once selected cell ?
