[vtkusers] Visualization Problem

I am using vtkBMPReader to read a set of slices from a volume, and  
using vtkFixedPointVolumeRayCastMapper to display the volume. The  
problem is: The images were in color, but the volume is displayed only  
in luminance, and I the transfer function I have set does not seem to  
do anything, so I can´t set the opacity and he volume looks like a box  
with a texture (although it isn´t).
