[vtkusers] libPulse Dependency

Hello,

I am currently building a VTK 5.8 application that uses the QVTKWidget for
visual display.  It appears the libQVTK.so.5.8 has a dependency on
libpulse.so.0.  Could you please tell me why this dependency is needed, and
if there is a way for me to build my VTK 5.8 to remove this dependency?
