[vtkusers] How to get a slice from a VTK volume actor and not a reader

Hey all,

                In our application, I don't use a reader to create our vtkvolumes.  Instead, I create them from the pixel data from another source.  I need to reslice the data but I don't have a reader for my vtkvolume.  Any ideas for getting the slices from the vtkvolume directly?
