[vtkusers] Speed Up Rendering Colored Point Cloud

I have used the VTK/Examples/Cxx/PolyData/ColoredPoints example as a starting
point to create an application that renders a colored point cloud.

It works great, except when the point cloud gets big. With tens of millions
of points, it's not usable.

Can someone make a recommendation for speeding things up?
