Laurence (Larry) Clarke is the Branch Chief for Imaging Technology Development for the Cancer Imaging Program at NCI, an NCI extramural position. Dr Clarke oversees a number of projects to promote the development, validation and translation of emerging imaging technologies. The scope of this effort includes the development of public database resourcess to promote standarized methods for software tools assessment nd support for open source software tools. Dr. Clarke was previously a Professor of Radiology, Physics and Computer Science before coming to NCI in 1999, and was resposible for a research program in medical image processing. He is currently a fellow of the AAPM and ISMRI.
