Discussion
1. Addition of new tracker pointer calibration class
1. James Zhang from Kevin's lab has some software for tracker pointer
calibration
2. It was agreed that would be useful as a utility function
3. James will add some requirements for this to the Iteration 7 page
(he already did so!)
4. James should also add a little about the class to the design
discussion page:
http://public.kitware.com/IGSTKWIKI/index.php/Design_discussions
2. Support for foot pedal
1. The foot pedal is an input device that can be used with a tracking
system
2. The surgeon can use it like pressing a mouse button (for selecting
registration points for example)
3. Will add this functionality in Iteration 7 - need to add this as a
requirement (David Gobbi) along with the other tracker events that David
mentioned today
3. 64 bit platforms
1. would be good to test on a 64 bit platform with a suitable compiler
2. Luis said Kitware could take this as an action item - apparently
they have a 64 bit machine
4. Kevin Gary plans
1. wants to put out a tool that can be part of the nightly build
process, capture log files, make sure state machines work as expected
2. will put something about this on the Wiki shortly
3. it was agreed that the current location on log files (some temporary
directory) was OK for this purpose
5. use of Purify
1. it was noted that it could be a lot of work to make the system
"Purify compatible"
2. but it is worth a try - ask Brian Blake if he has access to Purify
6. requirements
1. need to check with Julien re about PHP script to help organize the
requirements (from review board minutes)
2. David Gobbi will check old emails about adding headings for
requirements to the bug tracker
7. pulse generator
1. Kevin volunteered James to check this out
2. James will look at the FLTK source code and see how they implement
the timer and investigate bringing this code inside the IGSTK umbrella
8. references from the meeting on image-guided software at BWH in
Boston on Nov 16
