[Insight-developers] Proper way to fork itk with testing/data?

Hi Luis,

We'll be adding new images to it for our tests. It looks like we'll just
create our own data dir for now while we're working on our changes and
then merge it into the main one along with our code and tests as they're
ready.

Cheers,
Michael

Hi Michael,

Your motivation for including the Testing/Data
directory in the fork:

Is to add new images to it ?

or

only for being able to run Experimental builds ?

If the second, you don't really need to fork the
Testing/Data directory as a Github repository,
you will only need to have the Testing/Data
checked out in your local working directory
(in your hard drive),

Please let us know more about what you would
like to do,

Hi,

I'm forking itk 4 to a github repo. We'd like to include the
Insight/testing/data repo too. Can one of the git guru's on the list
tell me the proper way to do that?

I figure I should do this:

- create a separate repo in github for the data
- push to it from Insight/testing/data
- modify Insight/.gitsubmodules (or .gitmodules, can't remember now) to
point to the github repo.

Anything else? Thanks.

Cheers,
Michael
