[Insight-developers] Transform and related changes from PICSL lab

Hi,

I've push up a gerrit patch containing a large set of changes to
Transforms and related classes:

These changes were made to support the new registration framework we've
been developing, which will be pushed up as a separate patch later
today. The idea was to pull all the changes related to classes outside
of our new framework so they could be viewed separately.

Please add yourself as a reviewer as needed.
