There is a consistently failing test on thurmite.kitware<http://www.cdash.org/CDash/viewSite.php?siteid=1467&project=2¤ttime=1311123600>. I can not figure out why it is failing only there. It this machine, perhaps, the only 64bit PPC machine, or some other special configuration that needs to be addressed?
There was recently work done on the MemoryProbe to make it work better on more platforms, and to actually be tested more completely. Perhaps we need to identify one more special case for the platform that is currently failing.
I would propose that the MemoryProbe is a very nice feature when it works, but that it is not a critical feature of ITK. It is my opinion that we should not invest a lot of time making it behave universally on all platforms, but rather just test on platforms where it should work (and report failures loudly), and quietly fail on platforms where it has not been made to work yet.
I'd appreciate your opinions on this.
Thanks,
Hans
