[Insight-users] ITK and Java

ITK presentations (e.g. during IEEE Visualization 2002) indicate Java as
one of languages supported by ITK. I do not see any support yet in ITK
version available through CVS. As I understand Cable may not support
anything else but Tcl any time soon. I have good experience of using VTK
in Java; wish something similar would be available for ITK.

I wonder if anybody tried to interface ITK to Java using for instance JACE
(http://jace.sf.net) or other tools?

Any thoughts on what would be involved in, at least, partial interface of
ITK to Java?
