Yes. We do it everyday. Are you building from the nightly cvs or the release? Also what version of vtk? nightly or release 4.0.

There was a problem with the itk release building with the nightly vtk. You may have to add #include "vtkImageData.h" to vtkITKImageToImageFilter.h.
