[Insight-users] Using the DICOM and Analyze readers

I'm new to Itk, so please forgive my ignorance.  I read that Itk can read
DICOM and Analyze file formats.  I have not found much documentation on
how to use this functionality or what type of DICOM/Analyze files are
supported.  From looking at the code, it looks like the most promising
examples for reading DICOM files are in the InsightApplications tarball.
I've read that this is difficult to install because of its dependencies on
other packages, so I'd rather not install it unless it's really the best
way to go.  Can anyone tell me what is the best way to get up and
running with DICOM and Analyze files in Itk?  Maybe there's some
documentation I've overlooked?
