Hi Robin,

You may want to take a look at the validation study
developed by Sayan Pathak at Insightful. You will find
detailed documents under will find it under

   Insight/Validation/TissueClassification

The code used for the validation study, along with
instruction for getting data are available under

   InsightApplications/IBSRValidation/IBSRClassification

Statistical classification is used as a tool for
segmentation in this case.
