Hi Zein,
Unless the holes are really big, you
are probably ok doing Mathematical
Morphology.
A sequence of dilation/erosion will
close the holes. You will have to
play with the size of the structuring
element.
(assuming that black is the object).
You may want to take a look at the
SoftwareGuide section 5.4.3, pdf pages
108-110.
