Hi Silviu,

reader->Update(); // very important !

ImageType::ConstPointer image  = reader->GetOutput();
ImageType::RegionType   region = image->GetBufferedRegion();
ImageType::SizeType     size   = region.GetSize();


You might want to read the SotwareGuide in order
to get familiar with these basic ITK concepts.
