[Insight-users] ANNOUNCE : ITK 1.8 Released

The Insight Toolkit version 1.8 has been released.


Compressed files with the source code are available
from the Download page

      http://www.itk.org/HTML/Download.php


You will find the following files

      * InsightToolkit-1.8.0.tar.gz
      * InsightApplications-1.8.0.tar.gz
      * CableSwig-ITK-1.8.0.tar.gz

      * InsightToolkit-1.8.0.zip
      * InsightApplications-1.8.0.zip
      * CableSwig-ITK-1.8.0.zip


Please make sure that you use the ".tar.gz"
files for Unix/Linux and the ".zip" files for
MS-Windows.

You can also get it through CVS by using the
tag "ITK-1-8", with a cvs command like


       cvs   update  -r   ITK-1-8




InsightApplications is expected to be build using

           - FLTK 1.1.4
           - VTK  4.4


You can safely use CMake 2.0 for configuration
although it is not required, CMake 1.8.3 will
do just fine.
