[Insight-users] Computing Distance Fields

Hello all,

I am wondering if  ITK provides filters for computing the distance field of
a binary  image other than the DanielssonDistanceMapImageFilter, something
that is faster. 
Did anybody, for example, compare it with the method presented in 
G. Borgefors: Distance transformation in arbitrary dimensions, Computer
Vision, Graphics, And Image Processing, 27, pp.321-345 (1984).
